1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Rehoard mobile application and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Rehoard ("we," "our," or "us") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Rehoard. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

4. How Rehoard Works

Rehoard is a peer-to-peer trading platform that enables users to swap items without cash. We provide the technology to connect traders but are not a party to any trade. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any items listed on the platform. All trades are between users, and Rehoard acts solely as an intermediary platform.

5. Listing Rules

When you create a listing, you represent that you own the item (or have the right to trade it), that your description and photos are accurate, and that the item is legal to exchange in your jurisdiction. You may not list prohibited items including but not limited to: weapons, illegal substances, stolen property, counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, live animals, or items that violate any applicable law.

6. Trading & Meetups

Rehoard provides safety features such as suggested police station meetup locations, Safety Snap verification, and the Share My Trade feature. However, you acknowledge that all in-person meetups carry inherent risk. You agree to exercise reasonable judgment, meet in safe public locations, and take appropriate precautions. Rehoard is not responsible for the outcome of any trade or meetup.

7. Fees

Rehoard is free to use. There are no commissions, listing fees, or transaction fees. We offer an optional upgrade, Rehoard Plus ($0.99/month), which provides additional features such as extra photos per listing, longer listing durations, and wishlist alerts. You can cancel Rehoard Plus at any time through your app store account settings.

8. Community Guidelines

You agree to treat other users with respect and to communicate honestly. You may not use Rehoard to harass, threaten, or defraud other users. Spam, misleading listings, and impersonation are prohibited. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate our community standards without prior notice.

9. Intellectual Property

The Rehoard name, logo, and all associated branding are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions) but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting Rehoard.

10. Limitation of Liability

Rehoard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss from trades, personal injury during meetups, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between users should first be resolved through direct communication. If a trade-related dispute cannot be resolved, you may report it through the app. Rehoard may assist in mediation but is not obligated to resolve disputes between users. Any legal disputes with Rehoard shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules, except where prohibited by law.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your listings will be removed and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
